The core company, Bankhead Welding Service, was founded over 50 years ago by Glenn Taylor. Later, the company branched into manufacturing, railroad maintenance of way, and asphalt plants and paving. In 1999, the decision was made to take these diversified divisions and incorporate them separately.

Bankhead Manufacturing Group builds and repairs equipment for transportation, materials handling, chemical, recycling, mining, power generation, and construction industries utilizing our heavy machine shop and fabrication facilities. BMG also maintains a fleet of welding trucks for mobile services provided by certified welders.
